In the year 1938 AD, I noticed a word about the fatwa while reading the songs in the translation of Hunayn ibn Ishaq. I understood from it that it has a special system, and that boys in every country have a place where they meet and a stranger asks about them and comes to them. So I followed the talk about it in the songs and elsewhere. Then my mind returned to pre-Islamic times, so I browsed some literature books, especially the collections of enthusiasm and preferences, and how they used the word fatwa in different ways. Then I saw that the Sufis included in their most famous books a chapter on fatwa in which they explained its meaning. Then I read Ibn Battuta's journey and saw him during his trip in Turkey praising the mention of the fatwa in it and explaining their respect for the guests and their treatment of one another. Then I was presented with the word fatwa in the modern era. All of this led me to research the fatwa and trace its meanings in different eras from the pre-Islamic era to today. Ahmed Amin
