These free style poems in Plain English were penned by my father from the time of my mother's death in the Phoenix Polio Epidemic of 1946 shortly after I was born until shortly before his death in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2007. He kept writing and rewriting them on scraps of paper over the years, and they were found in a trunk when he died. My friend Theresa F, Koch, found Charlotte Walden Walter's unmarked grave in Phoenix and wrote a poem about her. Proceeds from the promotion and sale of this book will go toward placing a memorial plaque on her gravesite in Phoenix because the headstones were removed to facilitate mowing..
