The two progress onward through the spans of time. However, they go back and forth within their own minds remembering their past together, as they deal with the present-day situations that arise. In the present time, they are told of a woman that is very similar to Gawain. A woman, that like him, is not all Vampire, but not mortal either. Rhoslyn begins to dive into her own memories of the past and struggles to help her lover with his own villains. The secrets that come forward are only a fraction of what the past began, and the future becomes set with more uncertainties and revelations.
