Woke up late

Not this again

Jump out of bed

Heart pounding

So late!

Drag on some clothes

Commute across the hallway

Turn on computer

Log on

I need coffee

Rush to the kitchen

Dodging rubbish along the hallway

Turn the jug on

A watched jug is never quick

Made it, with 20 seconds to spare

Zoom meeting

No one here yet, for the briefing call

Then realised, it was Saturday

I could have stayed in bed.

Patricia Gilmour - as a child she wanted to be an artist but felt that she couldn't draw so decided she wanted to be a writer instead. Patricia Gilmour was inspired by Enid Blyton, as one of her books started her love of reading.
