Autorenporträt
Nikita V. Chukanov from the Russian Academy of Science is a global expert on infrared spectroscopy applied to minerals. He was involved in the discovery of more than 200 new mineral species that are now approved by the IMA Commission on New Minerals and Mineral Names. He has also invented two original IR spectroscopic methods for analyzing materials and written more than 740 publications.

Marina F. Vigasina is a leading researcher at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. Her major fields of expertise include Raman and infrared spectroscopy. She was involved in the discovery of 27 new mineral species that are approved by the IMA Commission on New Minerals and Mineral Names and published more than 175 papers on mineralogy, crystal chemistry and geochemistry.
