Autorenporträt
Richard's enthusiasm for the Volkswagen brand has been virtually life-long. After learning to drive in a Beetle, he spent many years taking his cars to enthusiast shows before turning to judging, a task he still enjoys. During the 1990s he began contributing articles to magazines and currently has a monthly column in a leading VW Camper publication, which makes use of his extensive collection of VW sales brochures. However, his main claim to fame remains the authorship of nearly thirty books about members of the Volkswagen marque, including the Beetle and Bus, as well as the Karmann Ghia and more modern models.
