Idith is an Israeli grandmother who volunteers for Machsom Watch, an organization that monitors Israeli checkpoints in the West Bank. Her daughter has emigrated to California. Maybe she should too.

Hussein is a shadowy figure with the Islamic resistance. He is charged with observing Aisha to determine whether she should be stopped or ignored. But he finds it hard to make a decision and wonders why.

Their lives intersect.

Autorenporträt

Timothy Niedermann is a professional editor, who over his career has dealt with a wide variety of subject matterfrom sports to public policy, from scholarly articles on law to celebrity biographies. He has also taught writing as a Bass Writing Tutor at Yale University and lecturer in communications at McGill. A native of the state of Connecticut, Niedermann moved to Montreal in 1999. He reviews indie fiction and non-fiction for a prominent reviewing organization and has published in the Montreal Review of Books and the Ottawa Review of Books. Niedermann is a graduate of Kenyon College and attended the University of Freiburg in Germany. He also holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University Law School.
