Later, when I met my girlfriend, we enjoyed walking in the Viennese Woods near the suburb of Sievering. Back to Vienna from South Africa, where I've spent most of my adult working life, I had followed the advice from a local physician to take up Nordic Walking as a sport and therapy once I had healed from my two operations. A new life awaited me: Experiencing the extent of the Viennese Woods, fields, and a heath, besides the extent of a world city from many different vistas. I also listened to my inner voice causing many flashes of remembrances during my extensive walks.
