Ingenieurgesellschaft Prof. Czurda and Partner mbH is an independent and internationally recognized Engineering Consultancy based in Karlsruhe, Germany. ICP was founded in 1990 by Prof. Dr. Dr. Kurt Czurda and the managing directors Dr. Thomas Egloffstein and Gerd Burkhardt. Since then has grown in size with a staff of 25 at the head office in Karlsruhe and 50 based throughout Germany. Before 1995, ICP projects were predominately based in Germany, later ICP became increasingly engaged in international projects. The ICP expertise covers all areas of design and engineering activities in the fields of waste treatment, (including landfill technologies, waste treatment and handling plant, recycling facilities, collection and storage and transfer stations etc.), contaminated ground and buildings, renovation and extension of existing buildings, environmental design, public works, construction quality assurance, geodesy, geotechnics, geology and hydro-geology. A further core activity is to support public authorities world-wide in evaluating technical studies, technical offers and financial offers prepared by other suppliers in the framework of solid waste management projects. ICP has used its technical expertise to help Contracting Authorities from various countries (such as Algeria, Northern Cyprus, Qatar and Tunisia) to correctly evaluate and compare different technical solutions presented by bidders in international solid waste management tenders. ICP has been contracted by private organisations as well as public authorities, international development banks, or development aid institutions (KfW, EIB, World Bank, GIZ etc.). We understand the requirements and needs of our private clients as well as the committee based budget systems of the public authorities and their corresponding decision making processes. We are familiar with the working methods of development agencies and investment institutions. Our membership in the “Verband Beratender Ingenieure” (the German Association of Consulting Engineers) as well as numerous specialist organisations and working groups in Germany ensure the continuous professional development of our staff. Due to the involvement of the directors in several expert committees and working groups.
