Autorenporträt
Marianne has spent her life in central Pennsylvania and has always loved the carefree days of childhood summer. As a mother of four and now as a grandmother, she wants everyone to recognize the limitless possibilities that come along as the school year ends and warm summer days lie ahead. There should be no feeling of boredom during these special days, with so many things to see and do independently or with friends and family. In her book, Watermelon Days Lightning Buggy Nights, Marianne conveys this attitude to the reader, through simple rhyming verse and drawings, suggesting ways to fill the summer hours.
