Add a local Coast Guard inspector with an eye for detail, a Hollywood screenwriter with an eye for sci-fi - who just happens to be dating Dr. Jennifer Ferguson - plus one curious lab tech at SUAC, and all the ingredients are there for a fast-paced, sci-fi romp that reads more like a murder mystery than a piece of science fiction.
