Johnny Welsh has worked as a professional bartender in Frisco, Colorado, for almost twenty years. Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Italian Language, Literature and Culture. After working in a graduate study program in Italy, he moved back to the east coast to pursue his dream of writing music and playing in a band. When that scene got a little too crazy he retreated to the heart of beautiful Colorado ski country. Since Colorado legalized marijuana in 2014, nobody has heard more tales from such a wide assortment of shifty, funny, entrepreneurial and "enlightened" characters than Johnny the bartender. While being a professional bartender for the better part of 20 years, he's met multitudes of people from around the world who have been more than happy to sip a few drinks, open up their souls, and share their stories with him. As a rare toker himself, Johnny Welsh delivers the objective inside scoop of this infamous subculture through an unbiased report that details the first year and a half of a historic period in Colorado history.
