The texts that comprise this volume, about education, family and young people, all derive from the belief that man is a creature that becomes deeply unhappy when situations drag him down. On the contrary, what would elevate him in his own eyes and give him a sense of fulfillment is attempting to chart his own course - regardless of how successful he would be. It is a matter of honor - existential rather than moral - for one to have the courage and will to plan his life and make the appropriate decisions. However, one must know in order to make decisions. Therein lies the problem. Without any twists and turns, our era tells that one does not need to decide, nor would he be capable of doing so. Therefore, his demands for knowledge must be curtailed. But isn't it blatant sarcasm that, on the one hand, modern society provides endless pieces of knowledge and information and, on the other, warns recipients that it is futile to hope for the assembly of the pieces?
