If not for the charity of a benevolent black family, that heard our plight, we would have been left out in the cold. An ancient fortune teller predicted disaster and on top of this a mysterious connection to Elvis haunted me. A catastrophic accident left my Mother in a coma, leaving me held captive and enslaved in the clutches of an embittered half-uncle.
