The motivation behind the writing of "Where Did the United States of America Go" is to offer a series of reflections on the current state of our union and the causes of the divisive issues plaguing our nation. The writing offers a nonpartisan insight into the government's and electorate's failings. The purpose of the writing is to offer a measured approach, refraining from hasty judgements that would alienate the reader rather than help the reader better understand, cope with, and involve themselves in the changes that are affecting our democracy.
