Cindy is a retired elementary teacher who spent thirty-six years sharing good literature with primary children. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her master's work focused on integrating children's literature into all areas of the curriculum. She previously published four children's books documenting an historic 220-mile sheep trail in Arizona. Her new book combines her love for photography and her fascination with the wild horses along the Lower Salt River, near her home in Mesa, Arizona. She has been observing and photographing these horses for more than twenty-five years. In this book, she shares three years of personal encounters with a wild horse she has named Whisper.
