Autorenporträt
Dr. Ellen Burns Hurst, an Atlanta, GA, native, holds a Ph.D. in language and literacy. A true pioneer in the field of dyslexia, her passion for working with struggling readers is exemplified by her work as an intervention/reading specialist for 35 years in the public and private sectors. At the heart of this passion is the desire to level the achievement playing field for all children. Dr. Hurst continues to focus on her passion of changing the reading lives of students through her private practice and research presentations at national and international literacy conferences.
