Autorenporträt
Linda Liane Rickard feels her life is very blessed. As with many people, however, it was not always pain-free; she endured several personal tragedies which changed her. At age 18 she was the victim of rape at gunpoint. She also suffered the untimely deaths of her brother & her best friend. These traumatic experiences together with the love from family & friends are a large part of her poetry. She was born with a soulful passion for peace & a love for nature which is refl ected in her photography. Linda wrote her fi rst poem "If I Were A Rock" while sitting on the beach after what she believes was an angel's inspirational touch. Through life's tragedies & obstacles, Linda believes feeling pain, understanding it, accepting it & learning from it is what strengthens a person. She believes living with perseverance & courage to move forward after problems occur is a very signifi cant factor to one's success. She is convinced that guardian angels surround the earth to protect its beauty and project God's love for us. These angels are blessed with insight to encourage & enrich our lives. We need only listen & feel their love. "What People See" was written in appreciation of God's unconditional Love. Her poetry refl ects her own thoughts about love, friendship & hope for peace. Her wish is that you will be inspired and touched by angel's kindness when you least expect it!
