Charlotte Varela is a nature writer and naturalist from Lancashire. Charlotte aims to be an ally for wildlife and a proactive voice in the world of conservation, and through her work she hopes to inspire others to discover and care for the incredible natural heritage on our doorsteps, promoting novel ways to engage with our local landscapes throughout the year.

Her writing can be found in several publications, including Wildlife Watch magazine, BBC Wildlife magazine and Bumble magazine. Charlotte is the author of Wildlife Walks, published by Bloomsbury in 2022 with the Wildlife Trusts.
