Will Shaksper's Secret takes the reader on a blustering, boisterous journey through the grimy streets, dusty attics and comically dung-filled theatrical situations surrounding Shakespeare's relationship with the truth. It hosts a range of highly recognisable characters and tells us particularly about the lives of the original celebrated publishers of Shakespeare's work - Heminges and Condell - and ensures the place in legend that they deserve. The main impetus that drives the story though is finally the truth about the mysterious and supposed death of Christopher Marlowe that brings the story to a fascinating conclusion.
