It weaves a relationship between a grandmother and granddaughter and relates historically accurate events from the war as seen through the eyes of a British nurse dealing with the Japanese and a Russian pilot dealing with the Germans during WWII.

R.S. Haspiel has traveled throughout Europe & Russia and has always been interested in the roles of women in the countries she has visited. Having a mother who worked in the Pentagon during WWII this author weaves stories around strong, confident yet sometimes vulnerable women. After 17 years of working with rescued animals in Tennessee this Science teacher is now retired and enjoys photographing the natural wildlife of Florida. The exploration of dirt roads and swamps continues to fascinate this writer and the sense of adventure is still going strong in this their 4th novel. This author currently lives with their partner Marie, dog Rowena and their 5 cats.
