H. S. Winter lives in the Finnish countryside, where the uneventfulness of the surroundings and everyday life makes her want to think of what lies beneath. She has a Master's degree in Animal Ecology, and her former career comprised of working out the delicate balance between exploiting natural resources for economical profit or recreational use, and protecting them. Her stories are inspired by thoughts on the meaning of life, an enhanced future for humanity, and finding the one.
