Autorenporträt

Christiaan Thierens is in 1952 geboren in Sint-Niklaas (B). Hij studeerde letteren en wijsbegeerte. Als management consultant begeleidde hij organisaties en personeel in hrm-kwesties (personeel en arbeid). Thierens speelt en beluistert graag muziek. Schrijven is zijn tweede natuur, maar ook zijn persoonlijke missie. Al vanaf zijn zestiende schrijft hij gedichten, verhalen, romans en essays. Pas op latere leeftijd ontstond de behoefte om zijn ideeën ook daadwerkelijk ¿los te laten¿ op de wereld en is hij gaan publiceren. Met zijn denkbeelden hoopt hij de moderne mens aan het denken c.q. twijfelen te brengen, met als uiteindelijke doel: een intrinsieke verbetering van de mensheid en de samenleving. De winter, stapvoets is Thierens' tiende boek. De auteur woont momenteel in Oostende en is ongehuwd.
