This book is a reflection of three early education professionals on their career journeys and lessons learned, including their inspirations to teach and the encouragement, challenges, and changes they experienced along the way. Also included are reader reflections to provide wisdom and courage for current and future early care and education professionals. Ruth Ann H. Ball, MS, began her career as a secondary teacher in rural Oklahoma, then taught young children for 15 years; directed a child development laboratory center at the University of Oklahoma and Rose State College; and taught early education to college and university students. She served as president of ACCESS, a two-year college faculty association, and vice president and interim president of the NAEYC governing board.
