Produktbeschreibung
This publication compiles and analyses the latest data on the international nature of studies, research and teaching in Germany and other countries. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Centre for Research on Higher Education and Science Studies (DZHW) have issued this standard reference work on international mobility in the higher education sector since 2001. The spotlights in this edition report on the student exchange between the US and Europe, the reasons given by international students for embarking on a degree programme in Germany, the working conditions and career prospects of international academics and researchers at German universities, international mobility in the German science and innovation system and, lastly, the expansion of English-language study programmes in Germany and around the world.

The authors analyse developments relating to international students and researchers in Germany, the mobility patterns of students and researchers from Germany and international academic mobility worldwide. For the first time, this issue also includes an additional chapter on structural aspects of university internationalisation. Wissenschaft weltoffen integrates national and international data, thereby providing a valid basis for analysing and monitoring the internationalisation of the higher education sector.
