The present anthology is an attempt to highlight the work of these mostly forgotten women related to the Revolution of 1821, in which their collective consciousness is validated. In these texts, female heroism is captured in all its aspects: heroic heroism, heroism of female victims and heroism of women who help in the background in the preparation of the Struggle. The publication is completed by the work biographies of unknown creators today, in an effort to highlight their own, silenced, voice as an important mosaic in the scholarship of the 19th century.
