Though the themes and events are real, the characters and the settings have been as completely disguised as humanly possible. The support, the caring and the friendships are real. The jealousy, the hostility and the various attempts at sabotaging the goals of their female friends and acquaintances did happen. Hopefully these two stories will also give an historic perspective on the everyday struggles of achieving women during the mid to late 1970s and early 1980s in the United States.
