Gibran Khalil Gibran was not just a writer or a poet, but rather he was a unique creative case, as he practiced writing in its various forms. Gibran Khalil Gibran was not just a writer or a poet, but rather he was a unique creative case, as he practiced writing in its various forms. He was a poet, writer, professional painter, and philosopher who valued his words about life, love, and existence. He excelled at drawing words in his prose poems, and his brush depicted the pains of humanity and the pain of alienation. . He is one of the pioneers of diaspora literature. He established, in a modern style, a critical literary trend. He did not write the poem in the traditional, classical form that was usual at the beginning of the twentieth century. He also infused his literature with motives of contemplation, Sufi tendencies, and philosophical thought that he derived from his various Arab and Western readings. The characteristics of Gibran's thought and style appeared in these anthologies, which were chosen and compiled by Archimandrite Antonius Bashir from among all of Gibran's works, whether in Arabic or English. He issued them more than a hundred years ago under the title "Words of Gibran," and he published them as a kind of celebration of Gibran and his thought. This is a celebration that he repeatedly emphasized, and which was his motivation for translating six of Gibran's books that he wrote in English: "Jesus, Son of Man," "The Prophet," "The Forerunner," "The Gods of the Earth," "Sand and Foam," and "The Madman."
