I got back with the food to find my wife and our guest laughing and chatting at the dining table. We broke open the boxes and filled our dinner plates. I poured wine. Talk had turned to Mike's art and business interests for the most part. Eventually the older man looked from me to my wife with purpose.

"Um, hell yes!" I answered quickly. Libby's blush rose, her eyes widening as she peered at the older man.

"All right then, the one detail I need to ramp up this idea with... But let me just clarify one thing first, if you don't mind. I've already asked you this, Colin, but with you both together, now, may I ask if you're planning to have more children?"

"Um." I looked to my wife, nodding. It was something we'd discussed plenty of times.

"Yes, we are," Libby answered directly. She checked with me then turned back to Mike. "We're thinking three or four."

"Okay, good. That's perfect," Mike said, nodding and huffing a breath. "Right then the one detail, given we've already established that my proposition is sexual." He paused and looked from me to my wife. "Love, I want to father your next child." He turned to me. "Son, I'm proposing to pay a million dollars for the privilege of getting your lovely young wife pregnant."
