Evelyn stated, I did not want to leave this world without knowing the God of Heaven in a more intimate way.

Evelyn Reid is a twenty-year cancer survivor who chose not to take chemotherapy. She is the author of Cancer: a Sentence to Live and has done extensive studies in natural and homeopathic medicine. Her background includes professional modeling, radio, television, and public speaking. Mrs. Reid is a former a professor of women's studies at Crossroads Institute of Biblical Studies in Macon, Georgia, and currently hosts a television show called Getting Healthy with Evelyn Reid, which can be seen on YouTube. Reid works with Global Faith Alliance, which does missions in third-world countries. Evelyn is married. Her husband, Dr. Donald M. Reid, is pastor of the Aletheia Baptist Church and president of Crossroads Institute of Biblical Studies; they are the parents of one daughter, Leni Shontae', and one grandson, Evan Donald Simmons.
