In this novel Isaiah points out the sins of the North and South Kingdoms, also known as Israel and Judah. He then declares severe punishment to them and all the neighboring nations around them. But he proclaims great hope because there would be a coming Savior. And yet that was not all that God had to say to them through Isaiah: for he also spoke of the return of the Lord's people to their native land and of their restoration after the exile from Babylon. And as all these things were being communicated, Isaiah kept giving clues about that coming Savior, also known as the Messiah, who will come and bring new life through his death. And that Messiah would bring about the new heavens and earth, which would serve as the great reward for all those who trust and obey the Creator. And if that were not enough, Isaiah proclaimed that there is hope for the afflicted and judgment for the evil.
