If you are looking for a feel-good book, this is it. The action starts with Yani finding she has been traded to the old traveling flint Knapper for the spear points her father needs to hunt for the family. You asked, "How can this be a feel-good book?" Rather than a life in a village where she is considered a difficult child, Yani's life becomes one of adventure beyond her wildest dreams. As the old man and the girl travel through a fantasy Stone Age land, a warm father-daughter bond develops. This book has humor, wolves, bears, blizzards and much more.

Autorenporträt
Cherie Coon is a retired teacher who spent most of her career teaching the children of our military stationed in Germany. Having spent 23 years living and working there, many of the discriptions of places in her books come from her travels. Her early life was spent in a small town in southeastern Ohio where she graduated from high school. After high school, she attended the Ohio State University where she majored in elementary education. She has two grown children, three grandchildren and a great grandson. She and her husband, David, live in Grants Pass, Oregon. She has enjoyed writing all her life but only became serious about publishing her works recently.
