Being part of the universe first guides Red's poetry but he adheres to certain boundaries to put his thoughts on paper hence Red stays disciplined to 5 rhyming schemes and writes for the most part in 16 lines. Hi poetry lovers. Get ready for a special treat, Red's Yokum Wood the sixth in the Yokum series. Why Yokum you say? Yokum is the Native American name for the land that made his home town of Lenox Massachusetts. Oh Red is Robert's nickname being born a redhead though his hair has long since gone grey. Born in 1949 growing up in the 50's coming of age in the 60's Then, after college, becoming a carpenter in the 70's where he entered his first creative life. You're probably wondering about the hat. It's a Shaker hat picked up at the Hancock Shaker Village Museum where Red did restoration work.
