Autorenporträt
Against a background of ancestors whose travels brought them to America and whose legacy of faith enriched the lives of their descendants, Doctor Schuler recounts the story of her life from early years to her movement through a number of scenarios. Her entry into whom she would become began with five years spent as a cloistered nun. After leaving the cloister, her next meaningful step was into a religious community of women dedicated to teaching. Upon leaving that community, she continued to teach-no longer as a member of a community, but as termed "a lay person," in distinction to being a nun who teaches school. That career was followed by returning to school and acquiring a doctoral degree in psychology. The final years of her professional life were as a psychologist in a state prison. Now retired, she shares with us her intriguing life and her growth in faith in her book "You Are A New Creation.
