Der Schriftsteller, Musiker und Journalist wurde 1958 in Leon geboren. Er studierte Geschichte und Kunstgeschichte. Er arbeitete als Kolumnist und Journalist für zahlreiche spanische Tageszeitungen und Zeitschriften, darunter El País, Diaro16 und Tiempo. Luis Algorri wirkt in Spanien als Sänger und Musikdirektor und hat sich in der spanischen Musikpresse einen Namen als Opernkritiker gemacht. Er schreibt regelmäßig in der schwullesbischen Landespresse.
