At the same time this book also provides advice on how to be a supportive ally and how those in leadership can better support their global majority staff in moving upwards.

Autorenporträt
Nadine has been working in education for 17 years and gained her first headship at the age of 31, being considered at the time as one of the youngest black Headteachers in the UK. This achievement reflects her passion to challenge stereotypes and redefine norms.

Nadine most recently founded Aspiring Heads, a multi-award winning social enterprise that challenges racial disparities within education in the UK. Her work has provided impactful and affordable leadership development for black educators, along with access to culturally competent networks that helps to elevate the next generation of black leaders. Being highly skilled in executive coaching, and fuelled with a passion to support and mentor, she never fails to motivate and inspire others. Nadine is currently Headteacher of a Primary School in South-West London, part of Dunraven Educational Trust.

She is a trial blazer in the community helping to support professionals within the education system in positions of leadership to reach their full potential despite. Helping to break through barriers of inequality. Nadine is a role model to educational leaders from ethnic minorities wanting to break the glass ceiling."

Nadine continues to receive accolades for her contribution to education and has been awarded the Business Woman in Education to Watch Badge of honour 2022 and the Excellence in Education award 2023.
