"Zahle City" by historian Essa Iskandar Al -Maalouf, in his book the history and biography of the place, dealt with the origin of the city's naming in Zahle, and presented an accurate description of its geographical location, then he talked about the soil and rocks Long live in it. The book dealt with Zahle in terms of water sources in it and its nature, and talked about its air, the city and its ancient effects, then touched on the incidents that its ancient Zahle and its modern passed through. In these events and facts in the eighteenth century, then he discussed the modern Zahle in the nineteenth century until the day of writing this book. The book carried the geography and demography of the city, known as the "Bride of the Bekaa", reviewing all its historical stages, and how it has risen through time to become an important economic, tourist and cultural center. It is "the neighbor of the valley" and "the city of churches". Ahmed Shawky wrote about her and we sang it for her, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, and after him Fayrouz, and is famous for her valley in which the "Al -Bardouni" river is running, which is "the city of wine and poetry", which gave birth to many poets, writers and artists.
