"A Doll's House" is a play in three acts by the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, which premiered at the Royal Danish Theater in Copenhagen on December 21, 1879. The play was published in the same month, on the eve of the premiere. In 2001, Ibsen's work was included in the register of the UNESCO Memory of the World program. After its production, the play caused a lot of debate, as it sharply criticized the marriage norms of the 19th century.
