Dr Geoff Harmer has 30 years' experience in the IT industry and has been awarded Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellowship of the British Computer Society (FBCS), Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) status. Geoff has held licensed-lecturer status with ISACA for COBIT and has regularly presented official COBIT courses and IT governance workshops since 2006. He has an accredited-lecturer status with BCS (ISEB) and APMG for ITIL and since 2001 has regularly presented ITIL courses and ITSM workshops. Dr Harmer has been awarded accredited-trainer status with APMG (formerly itSMF) for ISO20000 and since 2006 has regularly presented advanced ISO 20000 courses for consultants and auditors. He is also an Associate Lecturer in Technology with the UK Open University, a post he has held since 1999.
