"Mistakes of the heart left an indelible mark that couldn’t be erased with a rubber or bleach. They made you question and doubt and hate yourself, even though the damage wasn’t your fault."
At Pingate Loop, located in Knutsmere, Greater Manchester county, family comes in all shapes and sizes. The number of characters is manageable and therefore even more credible. The story is about the ability to judge or rather the ability to shift one's perspective. It's further about the simple things in life that often been taken for granted. I loved the interwoven soundtrack of the 70's in combination with the unusual plot providing some unique twists and turns.

Conclusion: Four stars for a wonderful novel, which touched many difficult subjects with a slightly artificial and predictable storyline and lovable characters.
It's my first book by Samantha Tonge and certainly not my last.
