"Politics" is Aristotle's treatise on the state, containing the principles of social and political philosophy. The treatise was written in the last years (335-322 BC) of Aristotle's life in Athens, which came under the influence of Macedonia. The book examines the problems of the family as the unit of the state, slavery, citizenship, the definition of the state, as well as its forms of government and purposes.
