Cicero published more than a hundred speeches, political and judicial, of which 58 have been preserved in full or in significant fragments. The ancient Roman orator and philosopher Marcus Tullius Cicero came from a simple family, but was able to become a famous political figure thanks to his oratorical talent. He played a key role in political life of Rome and was always the most ardent supporter of the Republic, which ultimately led to his death.
