" The Crocodile : An Extraordinary Event, or Passage within a Passage" is a work by a classic of Russian literature and one of the best world-class novelists F. M. Dostoevsky (1821–1881). This story is written in a satirical manner that is not typical for the author. The criticism is directed at liberal-minded political circles and printed publications, with which Dostoevsky often discussed. There is an opinion that the arrows were fired towards N. Chernyshevsky. Dostoevsky is also famous for his works such as "A Little Hero", "Bobok", "Winter Notes on Summer Impressions", "Petersburg Dreams in Verse and Prose", "Mr. Prokharchin", "Centenary", "Sliders", "Roman in Nine" letters", "Pushkin's Speech", "Sentence". The importance of Dostoevsky's work for world literature and philosophy is difficult to overestimate. Without exaggeration, he can be called the most famous and readable Russian writer, who gained fame not only thanks to the artistic merits of his prose, but also thanks to their philosophical moral content.
