"The Death of a Government Clerk" is a humorous story by the great Russian playwright Anton Pavlovich
Chekhov (1860–1904). Executor Ivan Dmitrievich Chervyakov once went to the theater, where a small incident happened to him
embarrassment: he accidentally sneezed on civilian general Brizzhalov. The comic plot is complemented by accurate and
capacious details that fully reveal the essence of the story.
The story is also known to the reader thanks to the film adaptation of the same name.
