"The Government Inspector" is a famous comedy in five acts by the Russian writer Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol. The year of writing is considered to be 1835. A young man who has checked into a Saratov hotel is mistakenly taken by local officials for an inspector and they try in every way to serve him.
