Angela Makholwa is a South African author who has gained critical and popular acclaim for her contribution to African literature and has been nominated for several literary awards. In the 1990s, she worked as a journalist and used her experience as inspiration for her novels. When not writing, she runs a digital-marketing and communications agency. She currently resides with her husband and two children in Midrand, Johannesburg.
