Magdalen Nabb (1947-2007) was born in Lancashire. She moved to Florence in 1975 and pursued a dual career as crime writer and children's author. Her books for both adults and children have been translated into many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Flemish, Danish, Dutch, Hebrew, Portuguese, Spanish, and Croatian.
