Man konnte süchtig werden nach den außergewöhnlich schönen, besonders originellen, vor allem aber auffällig gestalteten Plattencovern.Diese Mischkunstform aus Stillleben, Schnappschuss und Selbstvermarktung war lange Zeit mitentscheidend dafür, ob eine Langspielplatte floppte oder ein Toppseller wurde - und wenn es richtig gut lief, konnte sie sogar zur Ikone werden. So wie die Cover des Beatles-Albums "St. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", der Sex-Pistols-Scheibe "Never mind the Bollocks" oder des Nirvana-Schockers "Nevermind".Manche Cover allerdings erregen heute aus anderen Gründen unsere Aufmerksamkeit: Weil sie hässlich sind.
