Giuliano Carmignola hatte schon immer eine große Affinität zur Musik von Johann Sebastian Bach, wie mehrere bahnbrechende Aufnahmen von dessen Musik zeigen. Sein jüngstes Projekt bietet eine neue und manchmal experimentelle Lesart von Bachs Suiten für Violoncello solo, in denen der Barockgeiger neue Details hervorhebt und den tänzerischen Charakter sowie die Brillanz vieler Suiten-Sätze betont.
