Growing up with a dad who loved telling stories, it seemed natural for Meryl to share them, too. Her dad's characters involved the backyard wildlife. All of the tales focused on Benjamin J. Blue Jay and Sammy Squirrel. They provided hours of entertainment for a young child who constantly asked for more episodes. Her creative dad never let her down!
